Tracy
Tracy is a Senior Associate with our firm and has been working in the accounting field for over 30 years. She started modestly in accounts payable and worked her way through the ranks with payroll processing, general ledger and tax work. When she realized she had talent and passion in the field of accounting she decided to pursue formal education. Tracy now holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Accounting from Western Governor’s University.
Prior to joining Schultz & Co, CPAs she worked with a prominent regional accounting firm in Montgomery, Alabama. She also served as a Controller for a small construction company and then a Plant Accountant for one of the many locations of a National Company.
She loves to help established and new business owners alike learn the inner workings of their businesses and show them how to get started with the least amount of headache as possible. She believes that honesty and integrity are the most important traits anyone can have.
She is a member of Toastmasters International where she earned Competent Speaker and Competent Leader designations. Communication is key to any person’s ability to be successful in everything that they do.
Tracy’s community service includes board member leadership and treasurer for the Montgomery Chapter of The National Kidney Foundation, and was a dedicated volunteer for both the NKF and The Arthritis Foundation for well over 15 years.
Tracy is married with one adult son. In her free time, she loves to sing and act, as well as garden and be outdoors. She has been on the stage many times both acting and singing. She decorates cakes, bakes and love to craft. Attending National DragonCon conventions she fits right into the firms “super geek” accounting culture.
